Circus

Yesterday we took Morgan to the Ringling Brothers' Circus in Charleston. We met Morgan's best friend, Lydia, and her parents and grandparents for dinner beforehand. Poor Daddy was really sick and he had to stay home :( The girls had such a great time! This year's circus had a lot of magic in it, and Morgan seemed to really like that. We are already looking forward to next year!

Morgan's souvenir from the circus.

Yes, this elephant, Asia, is painting a picture!

I'd never seen women shot from a cannon before. It was awesome!

Mousie Dress

The above dress was my dress when I was in kindergarten. Apparently it was my very favorite dress, which was handmade by Aunt Linda. Here it is on my nearly four year old, WAY too short, but she looked really cute in it!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Morgan went to her first baseball game of the season tonight. We had a 1 hour rain delay, during which some torrential downpours occurred, and a nearly-blown game by our beloved Pittsburgh Pirates, but the final score was 4-3 in our favor.

Morgan was very excited to see her Aunt Pattie. She had a lot of fun watching the Pirate Parrot (although true to form from last year would NOT get close enough to have her picture taken). She even snapped a picture of him with Aunt Pattie's phone.

She had her game-time nachos...

Spent some time texting her Mutti...

And generally had a good time and was in good spirits for the 4.5 hours we were at the ball park. We will be going to four more games this year, and she is already talking about her next trip to PNC Park to see the Parrot, the racing Pierogies, and of course, her nacho buddy and favorite Pirates fan, Great-Aunt Pattie.

The Flavor of the Day

Morgan has recently become enthralled with the Toy Story movies (or Toy movies as she calls them). She is especially fond of Woody and Jessie. I was watching her today as she watched Toy Story 2 for the eleventh time and the smile on her face was just as big as the first time she watched it. She runs around singing "You've got a Friend in Me" even though she only knows that verse :) She wants "Toy Movie" cereal (any cereal box that has the aliens or Buzz Lightyear), Toy movie toys, and even in the face of Princess and the Frog, will frequently choose Toy Story over Tiana (although I think she secretly loves Princess and the Frog better).

Morgan has also discovered the hilarity of blowing up a balloon, or more accurately Mom blowing up a balloon, and blowing the air into her face, the dog's face, her Daddy's face, or allowing it to fly all over the place making that funny plllllbbbbttt noise. It causes her to laugh out of control! I didn't catch the full laughter on video, but here's a little glimpse into our world lately...

Outside of that, Morgan's newest independence move is to pick out her clothes and get dressed all by herself! She's doing quite well and matches her clothes surprisingly well. She is looking forward to seeing her cousin Julia and her friend Lydia at the end of the month!

Easter Weekend

What a lovely Easter weekend here in the mountains of West Virginia! The weather was gorgeous, and the company was excellent. Morgan had such a wonderful time with her aunt and cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents. She enjoyed staying up very late Friday night with her Daddy, waiting for Nannie and Big Pop to come home. Saturday, she got dressed all by herself! She's been working on getting dressed by herself over the past two weeks or so. She was able to match her entire outfit without any coaching from me. Here she is proudly modeling...

She had a blast playing with Julia, as always. She also enjoyed some time with Kole.

She's such a proud oldest cousin!

Since Aunt Amy and the kids had to go home Sunday morning early, we dressed the kids in their Easter best and let them hunt eggs on Saturday.

Then the kids were kind enough to indulge us for some (almost complete) family photos.

The Ralph Tenney Family (minus Chris, who is out of town)

Julia, Great-Grandpa, Great-Grandma, Kole, and Morgan

Nannie, Big Pop, and the grandkids

The Charles Tenney Family (minus Chris)

All of the Tenney women (including the dog!)

Finally we moved inside for some Christmas, I mean EASTER, presents!

Easter Sunday was just as fun. We all managed to go to breakfast at the church, then after church got some more family pictures.

Our beautiful babe in her Easter bonnett.

We enjoyed a quiet afternoon, with everyone taking a nap, then we finally headed home. It was a really good weekend. We hope to have another one really soon!
