A Week at Nannie and Big Pop's!
This past week Morgan got to spend the entire week by herself with Nannie and Big Pop on their farm in central WV. She had a wonderful time helping Nannie around the house, learning how to sew, playing outside (when it wasn't raining), and just soaking up some much needed time with her grandparents. I talked to her every night and she always sounded so happy. She had lots of stories to tell me and would excitedly tell me what she and Nannie and Big Pop had done that day.
Mopping for Nannie (wish I could get her to do this at home!)
Superman Ice Cream Cone
I think she got more paint on her than on the project!
Pretending to drive in the Barbie Jeep (which sadly still doesn't work).
One of my favorite pictures of Morgan, by the creek on the farm.
Morgan was brave and fed the horse some hay.
Both girls loved the horse
On Friday afternoon Big Pop took Morgan and Julia to a neighbor's farm to get up close and personal with the farmer's horses. Morgan was scared of the big animals at first, but warmed up to them the longer she was around them. Now all she can do is talk about seeing and riding a horse again soon.
Mommy and Daddy came to spend the weekend at Nannie and Big Pop's for some early Easter festivities. Morgan really enjoyed her time on the farm and cannot wait to get back to her grandparents' house real soon!

Scrapbooking Weekend!
This past weekend I got the opportunity to go away to Accident, MD for an all-weekend scrapbooking camp. A colleague at work invited me since she is a serious "scrapper" and found out that I liked to scrapbook as well. I invited my sister-in-law, Amy, and we really had the best time! I was gone a total of 50 hours from the house. I spent 23 of those hours scrapbooking. I stayed up really late (until 2:30 AM), slept in until 11:30 AM, stayed in pajamas all day Saturday, and really enjoyed only having to take care of myself. I met a lot of great women who are really funny. Luckily they scrapbook once a month in Fairmont so I'll be joining their group. It was so fun just to be able to throw myself into a project and not have ANY interruptions. I ate when I wanted, went to bed when I wanted, did what I wanted, and had sucha wonderfully relaxing weekend. I also did manage to get a bunch of pages done too! I am really excited about scrapbooking again and hope to get the opportunity to get out my stuff and work some more soon!
Amy got 15 pages done, and also got her pictures organized and ordered from Shutterfly. I am so glad that she came with me!
And this is what I came home to.....what happens when Daddy is left in charge for the weekend. His comment? She dressed herself this morning. No kidding :)

Below are some of the pages I got done. I am a minimalist scrapper...simple layouts, not a lot of extras. I saw some really great layouts this weekend but my poor Type A brain has such a hard time with being creative!

This is my favorite 2 page spread....so colorful and I really felt like I matched up things well and the embellishments went with the page.
I love this page because it makes me laugh remembering Morgan trying to learn how to golf. And I like how sassy she looks!
