Play Date and a new toy

Today Morgan went on her first "official" play date....yes we are way behind the power curve. My good friend Kim invited Morgan over to play with her girls, Gianna and Carina. Gianna is 8 weeks older than Morgan, and Carina will be 2 in August.

We started out at the girls' house, where Morgan was thrilled to play in the indoor trampoline with Gianna. The girls dragged out a bunch of toys, as expected, and just had a great time.

Then we went to McDonalds near their house, which has a 3 story play place. Morgan had a blast! Gianna showed her how to get to the slides and Morgan was off. The girls played together for about 2.5 hours before we had to leave.



But before we left Gianna had one more thing for Morgan....a Cinderella castle with 5 princes and princesses, props, and lighted columns! Gianna had two and last year Kim told us she'd give us one of them. Both of us had completely forgot about it until today. Morgan came home and immediately got on the floor with her new, awesome toy. Thanks so much Kim!

We are looking forward to another playdate with Gianna and Carina next month!

Early Planting

With the pretty weather we've been having, Morgan and I bought some flower seeds that we planted today. Morgan helped me re-pot our Christmas Cactus since it is grown enormous. Then we planted a few sunflower seeds and some orange poppy seads. Knowing full well that another frost was coming (and I was right, it snowed on Friday) we planted the seeds in pots and placed them in our bay window in hopes that in a couple weeks we will see some shoots. Morgan is excited about planting more flowers next month.
